Office Manager
Jess
Beginning her career in the industry over 15 years ago, Jess holds a Cert 3 and 4 in fitness and is also a certified reformer Pilates instructor. Paired with her qualifications in neurolinguistic programming and life coaching, Jess brings a holistic multidisciplinary approach to fitness, incorporating not only the body, but also the mind and soul.
With an upbeat attitude and warm, encouraging persona – Jess provides a wealth of experience and knowledge to guide you on your journey to optimal wellbeing!
Jess is the ultimate all-rounder so you will also find her behind the front desk as our amazing office manager. With her beaming smile and fun, quirky personality – Jess will make you feel instantly welcome and a part of our Synergy family!
Kiana
Kiana has been a part of our admin superstars since December 2021 and is a friendly face you’ll see most days at the desk! But being on the desk is not all you’ll see Kiana doing around the gym!
Kiana is also now one of our qualified reformer pilates instructors, and you’ll see her start taking classes leading into 2023! Having only started her pilates journey in 2022, she is loving every second of learning and teaching, and loves that pilates highlights what mindful fitness really is. Joint with this, Kiana comes from a dance background, having done multiple styles of dance throughout growing up. She loves to make fitness fun by adding music and getting groovy! Previously taking our DiscoFit classes has kickstarted her love for teaching and sharing what she loves with our beautiful clients! Come and join Kiana in one of our reformer pilates classes!
Katie
Meet Katie, a qualified personal trainer with experience in group fitness training and exercise prescription. With her experience, Katie can guide you through a personalized fitness program tailored to your individual needs and goals.
Having grown up in and around the sporting world, Katie competed in Gymnastics, Volleyball, Touch Rugby League, Basketball, giving everything a go. She developed a strong passion for the health field, deciding to pursue further studies to continue building her knowledge and understanding. She is now commencing her third year of study in a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology learning how exercise can be used as medicine.
Through her dedication to learning and helping others, Katie is committed to empowering you to live a healthier and happier life with the Synergy Community!
Sophie
Rhoni
Rhoni is a powerhouse of passion and enthusiasm for fitness! With a background in various sports, she discovered her love for running and weight training, fueling her commitment to helping others unlock their potential in the gym.
Rhoni’s mission is simple but impactful: she’s here to build confidence, smash goals, and ignite a love for the gym in each and every one of you. Her diverse athletic background brings a unique perspective to training, ensuring a dynamic and personalized approach to your fitness journey.

Gym Manager
Blake Jones
Blake specialises in group fitness and is the Gym Manager here at Synergy Performance Institute. He is a qualified Personal Trainer and Animal Flow Instructor, and an amazing all-rounder in any aspect of functional training with a preference for body weight workouts. He also trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Blake has been involved in fitness since his early teenage years and has turned his interest into a thriving career in the health and fitness industry. Coupled with his sense of humour and cheeky nature, Blake is the perfect person to create diverse and enjoyable training programs and classes for everyone, no matter their fitness levels or goals.
Keith
Remedial Massage Therapist
Peter Duncan
Peter is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist, offering remedial massage, cupping, and dry needling on site at Synergy Performance Institute. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience from an extensive career of working with professional athletes across a large variety of sports and is the person to see for any remedial needs you may have.
With his fundamental understanding of how the body works and responds to effective training and treatment, Peter has also gained his instructor accreditations in Animal Flow, impressed with how the practice can improve your mobility, strength, endurance, and power.
Peter is a versatile asset to our team and can be booked for remedial services and regularly oversees Animal Flow and Breathwork classes.
Yoga instructor
Crystal Belot
Crystal can be found in our Zen Den leading many of the Yoga classes available at Synergy. In addition to being a qualified Yoga Instructor, she is also a Hypnotherapist, Timeline Therapist, Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner, and Neuroscience student.
Crystal has a calm, relaxing, and kind nature. She is thrilled to be sharing the power of Yoga infused with a touch of NLP and Hypnosis and is here to help guide your mind, body, and soul to a place of balance, wholeness, and health.
Group Trainer & Calisthenics Trainer
Maxwell
Maxwell specialises in calisthenics and combat sports, and can normally be seen swinging around on the bars, or hanging upside down.
Maxwell spent close to six years in combat sports specialising in MMA and boxing. But trained in a large variety of styles including MMA, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, BJJ and wrestling and having competed in most of these styles also.
Maxwell is also a self taught calisthenics athlete and learned most of his movements through trial and error, and he wishes to help you in your body movement journey to take the guess work out for you.
Maxwell’s goal is to help people live longer lives without pain, and he thinks mastering your own body is the key to making this goal a reality. So if you want to learn practical combat and self defence, or simply learn how to move better be sure to talk to Maxwell.

Kat
Kat has always enjoyed physical activity and was a bit of a wild child, running around, jumping over benches, and got into a very serious conversation with mum after she carried a pregnant woman off her feet without her permission, she was probably 8 years old then.
Anyway, Kat’s proper athletic journey began when she started Pole Vaulting for Malaysia in 2003, following from there she proceeded to coach in the fitness and sport industry since 2010 in Malaysia.
In 2012 after completing her Masters Degree in Sport Science, she continued coaching Pole Vault, teaching swimming, and training clients in different settings in Hong Kong.
Now she feels very blessed to continue here in the BEAUTIFUL Sunshine Coast – she’s loving this new chapter and what it may bring.
Kat loves being in nature, swimming, surfing (absolute beginner!), paddling in the ocean, and when she’s in the mood – baking cookies (AND eating them), and making yoghurt and kombucha at home.

Holding Cert 3 and 4 in Fitness, Cooper is not just a trainer but a motivator, specializing in strength and conditioning, bodybuilding, and powerlifting. With a wealth of experience, Cooper is your go-to expert for powerlifting, where he thrives on helping individuals unlock their full strength potential. His approach combines knowledge, enthusiasm, and personalized guidance to push you beyond your limits and achieve remarkable results.
Cooper’s expertise goes beyond the gym floor; he is skilled in addressing niggles and pains, offering tailored solutions to alleviate discomfort and enhance overall well-being. His approach to training focuses on building strength, improving conditioning, and promoting a healthy, pain-free lifestyle. Before transitioning to the fitness industry, Cooper spent many years competing at a high level in volleyball, showcasing his commitment to excellence and discipline. His sporting background extends to soccer and basketball, providing him with a diverse understanding of athletic performance and training methodologies.
Jaz
Jaz has adventured in most sports but really fell in love with Rugby Union. Through this she discovered a love for all things fitness and the importance of training your body. If you are looking for someone to help grow your confidence both in and out of gym, then jaz is your girl. She loves training both strength and cardio to help improve your fitness and help you gain confidence. She believes that moving your body is the key to having a happy, healthy life.

Peregian Beach Manager
Adam
Adam has been a personal trainer since 1993. He got qualified at TAFE in Adelaide doing a 12 month prevocational Leisure Careers Industry Certificate, which was one of the best years of his life.
during this certificate he learnt how to do and, in some cases, teach: scuba diving; white water, river, and ocean kayaking; rock climbing, adventure ropes courses, and corporate training and team building; personal training, weight lifting, aerobics, advanced anatomy, physiology, and rehab; hiking, orienteering, bushcraft, first aid, and survival; skiing, snowboarding, and hiking in the snow – it was an incredible year. They were in class or in the field 50+ hours a week, it was full on.
In 1997 he got re-certified in Sydney with Network Certified Personal Training Course.
In 1999 he spent 2 years training movie stars, rock stars, world leaders, and other mega elite at Amanpuri Resort in Phuket, Thailand.
In 2001, Adam moved to Hong Kong and began teaching personal training courses, becoming the first ever Master Trainer in Asia for National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
Over the following ten years Adam also became a Master Trainer using Stability Balls for AOK Health; a Master Trainer for TRX; a Master Trainer for ViPR; a Master Trainer for PTA Global; and a Master Trainer for Power Plate International. I travelled through Asia teaching others to become personal trainers.
In 2019, he moved to Malaysia intending to build a fitness business there, but covid hit.
In 2022, he moved to the Sunshine Coast in QLD to manage the Peregian Beach Synergy Performance Institute gym.
